David Morris is a graduate of the Ontario College of Art. His interests began with travel photography in Tibet, India, Yemen and North America but have branched out to include portraiture, landscape and commercial work. Public shows include: The Durham Art Gallery, The Coloured Stone Gallery, North York Public Library, and the Eight Elm Photo Gallery.
Commissioned work comprises a large portion of the day to day business at David Morris Photography. Some of these commissions have been for the Secord Animal Hospital, the Alumni Theatre, The Duke of Edinburgh Awards, Havergal College and the National Democratic Institute. But many of David's clients are individuals, posing for headshots for portfolios, having their pets and children photographed, or hiring David for their weddings and other family events.
As well as taking photographs, David's business has branched out to include teaching and mentoring aspiring photographers. Formal courses include those offered at the International Academy of Design and Technology but more informally, David Morris Photography offers private lessons to individuals and small groups.
